Cardiac PET Scan

The Huntington Heart Center is proud to have one of only two cardiac PET scanners on Long Island. Cardiac PET is a revolutionary technology that adds accuracy and efficiency to the field of nuclear cardiology. With significantly increased specificity, cardiac PET scanning not only more accurately diagnoses coronary artery disease, but also limits unnecessary invasive testing.  As opposed to a 2-3 hour test time, a cardiac PET can be done in under 30 minutes, allowing the patient to be productive for the rest of his or her day, instead of wasting hours at the doctor’s office.
